We’ve had a quite a week here with all the heavy equipment on site for the parking lot work. It is quite impressive what a good crew with good equipment can accomplish in 5 days! The process they used was interesting and a big lesson in recycling. First step was to bring in a HUGE grinder to grind up the old asphalt. Dry cement was then rototilled into that mixture, water added, and the whole mess rolled down. Then new asphalt was placed over the top. Pretty nifty. This process was required because the original parking lot never had a base put under the asphalt—hence the unevenness and breakup. Thanks to all who have been inconvenienced . . . More

Holy Trinity Parish School Welcomes New Principal, Brenda Martinek

Holy Trinity Parish School opened the 2008-09 academic year this Fall by welcoming new principal, Brenda Martinek, to its helm. Bringing with her a unique combination of both parochial and secular experience, Brenda’s 19-year background in education is one equally rooted in the church, as well as the classroom.

Hailing most recently from the Portland Public Schools-Special Education Department, Brenda left her position as Program Administrator, where she was integral in supervising the Early Childhood Transition Team for students with special needs entering Kindergarten.
