We’ve had a quite a week here with all the heavy equipment on site for the parking lot work. It is quite impressive what a good crew with good equipment can accomplish in 5 days! The process they used was interesting and a big lesson in recycling. First step was to bring in a HUGE grinder to grind up the old asphalt. Dry cement was then rototilled into that mixture, water added, and the whole mess rolled down. Then new asphalt was placed over the top. Pretty nifty. This process was required because the original parking lot never had a base put under the asphalt—hence the unevenness and breakup. Thanks to all who have been inconvenienced . . . More
