Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults RCIA

RCIA is open to adults interested in learning more about the Catholic Church. Inquiry sessions begin October 1, 2008 and the sessions continue through full initiatiion in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.  These classes are primarily for those interested in becoming Catholics. However, the classes are designed to educate any one in the Catholic faith.Contact Patrick Berg, Pastoral Associate, to register at 503-643-9528 ext 125.

 

“Welcome Home Catholics”

If you are returning to the Catholic Church after some period of absence and want to find out more about the Church as it is today, you are welcome to attend the classes which occur on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the Fireside Room. These classes are primarily for those interested in becoming Catholics. However, the classes are designed to educate anyone in the Catholic faith. Contact Patrick Berg at 503-643-9528 ext 125 to sign up.

Infant Baptism Preparation

Parents and godparents should plan to attend one class of parents’ preparation for baptism.  These classes are held four times a year in the Fireside Room at Holy Trinity and last approximately one and one-half hours. Please call the office to enroll in a class or for additional details, 503-644-9528 ext 123.  After completing one preparation class and baptizing a child, it is unnecessary to attend class for other children.

 

Small Faith Communities

Meeting in small groups of 8-10 persons in homes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly using prepared resource materials as a guide.   Sign up by contacting Ron and Jill White at small faith communities.   

Young Mothers Group

Mothers of young children (up to age 4) meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 10:00-11:00.Contact Ariana Wittlake at arianawittlake@hotmail.com if you have any questions.  Please come and join us!

 

Adult Confirmation Preparation

Those who are baptized Catholics who are seeking to be confirmed are welcome to attend the RCIA classes on Wednesday evenings at 7 in the Fireside Room. May 2009 with classes beginning in April, 2009.Contact Patrick Berg at 503-643-9528 ext 125 to sign up.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Utilizing Scott Hahn’s Catholic Scriptural Study, this group meets weekly on Tuesdays at 9:30 am in the Fireside Room.  Contact the Adult Faith Formation office for more information at 503-643-9528 ext 125.

  

Healthy Eating

If you are interested in joining a small faith sharing group while giving each other support for healthy eating, please contact Sarah DiCarlo at 503-641-3679 or bellasarah41@comcast.net The group will meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 when there are 8 – 10 sign ups.

 

Young Adult Group

If you would like to join other young adults (18-30, single and married) for social events, sharing, prayer, and learning experiences, please contact our parish coordinators Anna and Gerard Deblois at 503-641-0123 or at young adults .

 

Miscellaneous opportunities

Are you interested in a walking group, a book club, or a Bible study group?  We are excited to offer new opportunities to the parish and are looking for folks to head up some of these groups.  Do you have a different group you would like to begin?  Call and let’s get started!!  Resources provided!
