Week III of Advent 2020! Okay good people, here we go closing in fast on Christmas. Let me spell out our plans once more and invite you to look forward to a meaningful and memorable experience.

Hello, everyone! Happy Advent!

Advent 2020 is going to take a bit more intentional effort! None of you will be at weekend Masses all four weeks of Advent and get to experience the ambience of Advent that can only be absorbed by being here in person.

You cannot eat an elephant whole, but you can swallow them a bite at a time!

“Be watchful! Be alert!” So says Jesus. Remember, Advent does two things, in this order: points to the second coming of Jesus at the end of time, and the first coming in the Incarnation on Christmas.

Happy Advent! During COVID, we’ve been putting more emphasis on the “Domestic Church.” How do we make our homes places where we encounter God? Advent offers a lot of opportunities to make our homes more like Church, and I’d like to share some of my favorites from when I was a child (and even still today!).

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend 2020 style! I hope and pray you all did what you could to express gratitude to God and to loved ones. I sure missed our usual big Thanksgiving morning Mass.

Hello everyone! This week as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving (admittedly, not in the way we all might have hoped!), I’m reminded of how crucial gratitude is for both our relationship with God and with one another.

Well, here we go into a new level of restrictions. I urge each of you to do all you can to stay safe — and to not compromise living fully in the meantime!
