The Litany of the Long Haul. As we are asked to ‘shelter in place’ and practice ‘social distancing’, a part of me keeps waiting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hello, everyone. And so we begin Holy Week 2020. I can’t tell you how odd it is to contemplate celebrating these most powerful liturgies of the year without all of you present. It’s going to seem hollow, indeed, inside the chapel!

Palm Sunday! Here we go into Holy Week 2020. The events we celebrate this week beginning with Jesus’ triumphal entrance into Jerusalem are the core of our “salvation story.” We remember them each year, and we enter deeply into them each year as a way of connecting ever more deeply with our Lord.

Working with others and doing what we can to help feed our neighbors.

Onward into a new month. If this month has to change as much as last month, I pray it is in the opposite direction: for the better!
