This is the last weekend for the Giving Tree. I certainly want to thank all of you who took a tag last weekend. Green tags are generic for gift cards and will be used to help throughout the year. Pink tags are for girls and blue are for boys. These are real people who are looking forward to receiving your gifts.
As a reminder, we will need all gifts returned by next Sunday, December 8th in order for the Holy Trinity elves to get the gifts where they belong on time. Thank you in advance for all that you do for others in the community and for having your gifts returned by then.
I could not let this chance go to again thank all of you for what you did to support the Thanksgiving food box effort. 220 turkeys were purchased and distributed, along with the bags full of donated menu items. Because of your generosity, we were able to help with late requests that came in from the Beaverton School District by providing bags full of food along with Fred Meyer gift cards thereby allowing families to purchase a turkey. Unbelievable! Again this year we fed veterans, single moms and their kids at the Women’s Life Change Center, families with kids in the Beaverton School District and families who come to our own Food Closet. I estimate well over 1,200 people! On behalf of all of them, THANK YOU!
