Here’s an update on the Walker Road widening. You have likely seen the new survey markers along our property, so the process is moving forward. Don’t expect much action in the near future, but it is underway. Because of how far the new roadway will encroach on our property, we have found it inconceivable to build our replacement offices between the current building and the Food Closet.
This past week we had a meeting with our architect and are pursuing relocation to be in front of Fireside Rooms. Likely we will be reconfiguring the parking lot/driveway arrangement to accommodate the changes and to maintain or gain additional parking spots. Be assured we are doing this all in a very prudent way and have a land-use attorney working with us to make sure our settlement with the county is fair. I am confident we have the right process in place and will keep you posted as this develops.
Marriage Vows will be renewed at all Masses next weekend in anticipation of Valentine’s Day. For those of you who have spouses that don’t usually attend, this might be an easy way to have them join you at Mass. As Brett reminds us each year, no substitutes for your spouse will be provided or accepted for the vow renewal!
