Well, we actually had live bodies present at Mass last weekend!!!!! I sure enjoyed reconnecting with those who were able to come.
We will continue our online sign-up/lottery system. Please let us know if you have any trouble accessing it or providing the necessary information. With a parish our size it will take a while to cycle through, so please be patient.
And, please know, the recorded Masses will continue as does the dispensation from attending Mass. Many of you should NOT be coming due to being in a higher risk category. No need for any guilt if you are hesitant to be a part of a gathering like this!
This weekend and overlapping into our evening Masses this week, we are welcoming our children to their First Communion! They have been preparing all year, having made their First Reconciliation prior to Christmas. Due to our current restrictions we are having only 12 children present at each Mass, with just one adult with them. We know that is far from ideal, but it is simply one more adaptation that must be made. Congratulations to each of our children and prayers that their friendship with Jesus will continue to grow and be strong throughout their lives!
One of our parishioners shared a neighborhood story with me. He “won” the lottery to come to Mass last weekend and was telling his Baptist neighbor about it. His neighbor responded, “gambling like that sounds Catholic!”, and had a good laugh. What a reputation we have!
