Hello everyone! My name is Ally Rudd and I am so excited to be joining Holy Trinity as a Pastoral Apprentice for the next two years. I am a graduate student in the Echo program at Notre Dame, where I am simultaneously earning an M.A. in Theology and working here in the parish. I am so excited to meet all of you and walk alongside you in faith!
I am originally from Olympia, WA, so I am thrilled to be back in the lovely PNW. I completed my undergraduate degree at Notre Dame, where I studied Neuroscience and minored in Theology. I always imagined myself attending medical school after graduation, but during the fall of my senior year I began to feel called elsewhere in my post-graduate plans. I felt that the Lord was guiding me towards ministry and continued formation, and the Echo program offered a beautiful opportunity to serve the Church in a new way. I am so grateful to be here and cannot wait to see what God has in store for this next step of my journey!
Some favorites of my time as an undergraduate at Notre Dame include serving as an RA in my dorm during my senior year, working with a pregnancy resource center in South Bend through the Right to Life Club, and spending a summer living and working at L’Arche GWDC. And, of course, every football Saturday. Go Irish!
In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, and playing card games. I also love to hike and cannot wait to explore all that Portland has to offer! I am so grateful to the Holy Trinity staff and to all of you for this opportunity to work and pray with your parish community. Please feel free to say hello and introduce yourself after Mass — I am so excited to meet and get to know you!
