Labor Day Weekend! Summer is over and fall begins! Back to school. . . . . . Shorter days. Crisp mornings and cooler days. Here we go, like it or not.
Blessings to all our students. Many are back to school already in our colleges and local public schools. May this be a fruitful school year. Thanks to all who teach and all who provide the support necessary for our schools. Enrollment in our school here at Holy Trinity is once again over 300 students. We have an outstanding faculty, and the enthusiasm and dedication they have for teaching inspires me greatly. I look forward to seeing the students eagerly waiting Tuesday morning for the front doors to open so they can SURGE into the building!
Planning for parish programs is fully underway as well. Please be watching this bulletin for start-up dates for children’s Religious Education, RCIA, Grow Group, men’s and women’s faith groups, Youth Ministry, Confirmation prep, Kid Zone, and our annual Parish Picnic next Sunday after the 11:15am Mass. Special welcome to our many new parishioners who have joined us over the summer. May you find all you need here to Know Jesus more personally, Grow in that relationship, and Go forth and make a difference in our world!
I will be leaving on vacation on September 10th after the morning Mass and will be back on the 29th. I am looking forward to time away, and now that Fr. Hans has been here a couple of months am mostly confident that Brett can’t totally corrupt him with habits prior to my return. As usual, I will be going to an undisclosed location with Sammy (cat) and will enjoy nature, outdoor work, and the total absence of Deacon Brett! Yayyyyyyyy.
Congratulations to John and Ashley Sheridan and to Wayne and Riza Tang, on the Convalidation of their marriages last week. Blessings to each of you, and to all of our married couples!
