Al's Outreach Outtakes

 
Community Outreach would not exist if it were not for our faithful volunteers. Each year we celebrate them and all they do with a luncheon. This year was no exception. Here is just a sample of what they helped make happen:
 

• 5,455 families were served at the Food Closet

• That was a total of 22,708 people

• The average family received 75 pounds of food at each visit

• That meant a total of 410,019 pounds were received and distributed

• All of this required 7,968 hours of their time

 
In addition to all of the above, during the current school year, they have also packed and delivered 2,069 back packs to six different schools. We will easily exceed 3,000 back packs this year.
 
Whew! A lot of work that all gets done with a smile!
