Okay, school has started! And, in 2020 that is no small thing. I am proud of our teachers — here in our school and everywhere for the adjustments and effort required to make all this happen. And, we all know, more adjustments will be coming, necessitating a double or triple portion of patience! Please be praying for all who teach, administer schools, and for all students!
Quiz answers (from homily two weeks ago and continuing this weekend — from Robert Barron):
My life is not my own.
I am not in control.
My life is not my project.
I am part of God’s GRAND design.
The more we internalize and live these, the more honest we are when we pray “Thy Kingdom come; Thy Will be done — on earth as it is in heaven.” We are praying that things will run here the way they run in heaven. Think about that regarding politics, the upcoming election, response to COVID-19, forgiveness, racial injustice, gossip, pollution, anxiety, greed, and every possible part of our world here on earth! Come Holy Spirit!
I will be leaving for vacation on Monday and will be away for three weeks. Fall is my favorite season so I always save my vacation until after school gets rolling. There sure have been lots of twists and turns since last fall! I look forward to some quality time on my property in Scappoose — tackling some minor construction projects, cutting firewood, and enjoying time with my family members. Please offer your support to Fr. Hans as he tries to keep Brett under control. Good luck……..

Funeral services were held for Wade Trine this weekend. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.
