Greetings from Fr. Dave

Our school is coming to life again! Teachers arrive back this week, though most have been in already getting prepped. We look forward to a really fine year with nearly every seat filled. Come Holy Spirit!

Please see the photo below for the location of two more handicap parking spots for Sunday mornings. We have had requests for more and are happy to oblige! I am grateful for those who make great effort to be here.
 



Anointing of the Sick has been available right after Mass on the first Monday of each month. We are changing that to the first Wednesday of the month, beginning in September. This will allow both Fr. Hans and me to pray.

I continue to encourage you to make use of this sacrament prior to surgery or whenever you are in a position health wise that is compromising your full living. Both of us are eager to anoint before or after any of the weekend Masses as well, or at a time convenient for you. Sacraments are powerful ways through which Jesus comes to us with his love and his healing.
 
One of our dear seniors passed on this prayer to me on Sunday and I share it with you:
 

Prayer to Mary to Keep from Falling

Take my hand, Oh Blessed Mother, hold me firmly lest I fall. I grow nervous while walking and humbly on Thee I call. Guide me over every crossing. Watch me when I’m on the stairs. Let me know that you’re beside me. Listen to my fervent prayers. Bring me to my destination safely along the way. Bless my every undertaking and my duties for the day. And, when the evening creeps upon me, I’ll never fear to be alone. Once again, Oh Blessed Mother, take my hand and lead me home.
