Easter is not over yet! We had 40 days for Lent and now we have 50 days for Easter! Now we get to celebrate the Good News so that the beautiful truth of our faith sinks in!

Happy Easter! This weekend completes the “Octave of Easter”, but we still go all the way until Pentecost (June 9th) with the Easter Season.

Hello, everyone. Happy Holy Week! As we enter into this week that commemorates in a most solemn way the gift of salvation that Jesus won for us, here is a little meditation that can help reorient our hearts when the world around us leaves us feeling discouraged.

Here we go into Holy Week! The theme we have been developing throughout Lent has been raising the bar on our response to God’s call in our lives. Just for a quick review, our topics have been Essential Tools for Saying YES to God, Decluttering our Lives in a Chaotic World, Radiation Therapy for Sin, Raising the Bar on Being Church, A New Kind of Christian Politics, Rooting our Lives in the Bible, and concluding this week: Wrestling with the Cross.

Fifth week of Lent is on us! Hang on folks, we are getting there. If it seems like Easter is late this year you are correct. Last year it fell on the last weekend in March, and this year it is to the day, the latest it can ever be. (Easter in our tradition takes place on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox).
