A friend of mine is a professor of English literature. He once told me that the difference between an author and a poet was the number of words each uses.
Hello, everyone. Here we go into our fifth week of the “Lent that wasn’t”! I suspect we’re all going to remember Lent 2020 for the rest of our lives, don’t you?
In case you have not heard the latest news, in light of the CV stuff and all the uncertainties, I have asked (and it has been approved) to stay on at Holy Trinity for another year. I just cannot “abandon ship” at a time like this, and want to pastor this community through the rest of this event and then into the rebuilding that will be necessary.
Greetings Holy Trinity family! Geepers, this will be a memorable — or non-memorable — Spring Break for many. Sorry. I hear of so many plans being put on hold or cancelled.
Hello, everyone. I miss you! I can’t tell you how strange it is not to be having Mass on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, but then, I suspect so many of you are feeling the same way.
Yep, it is still Lent, as odd as everything is right now! And, somehow, even without physically gathering, we will celebrate Easter too. So many unknowns for everyone!
Okay good people, we are fully into the new normal! Who would have ever thought that for Lent in 2020 we would all be required to “give up” going to Mass?!
I announced last weekend at all Masses that, in response to the coronavirus, we are asking all to be mindful of those who wish not to shake hands at sign of peace or hold hands at Our Father. A simple bow and smile is totally appropriate.
